‘Holy sh*t, Jay! What is this f*cking thing!?’ Why that fish video went viral | Rivet Radio

There was so much to this video that was great, I felt I needed to break it down to find out what the best parts are. Besides, it was just fun to make.

UMMM

Sometimes I find the stuff taken out of interviews more interesting than the content itself.

(Note: I did not conduct this interview, and what the subject said was brilliant, however would have worked better for print.
I also don’t mean any harm toward him by making this. I’m simply having fun with the disfluencies of humans.)

Ice Bucket Challenge

My Everything Sounds co-host Craig Shank nominated me for the Ice Bucket Challenge. Instead of the typical video that went along with the challenge, he made an audio version.

I knew I had to step up my game, and it was in that moment that I realized, ‘Wait, it’s raining outside…’ I braved the elements and with the help of my lady, recorded as I stood out in the peak of the worst thunderstorm in Chicago that summer.

‘A Tribute to The Books’

The Books played an important part in my ear for sound. The way they weave found sound and collected audio with music taught me how to do it myself. After they announced their break up in 2012, I knew I wanted to pay tribute to them in some fashion, so I decided to make an audible trip through their discography, in a sense.
